“Keep Yourselves in the Love of God”

We should multiply mercy, peace, and love. We can do this in many ways, one way is by serving others. By serving others we can develop these attributes. When we serve others we feel a great sense of peace and also great love.

In Jude we also learned about false prophets, in these days specially we should be even more careful. There will be more evil in the world during these times so we need to be immovable and have great faith so that when Satan tries to tempt us we will not be tempted.

The Trail of Our Faith is More Precious Than Gold

Trials are important for our personal growth here on earth. The Lord gives us trials for one main reason: TO LEARN FROM THEM!!! These trials are designed to make us stronger if we overcome them the right way. We need to have trust in the Lord. Something we must remember is that with faith come trials  of faith which truly increases our faith. We must hold on and never fear because the Lord is always with us. It is definitely hard to have a positive attitude when trials present but if we pray for help God will help us. These trials help us gain greater trust in the Lord and his plan. I have a great testimony about the trials I have personally encountered throughout my life, as a convert I have learned to rejoice in times of trial. I know that Heavenly Father is there to help us no matter what.
We must pray always and have faith even in those hard troubling
times

LOVE

The principle I found in this week's reading was in 1 Timothy 2: 15This scripture is focusing on how as women we should continue in charity. Living in Rexburg I personally feel like it's harder to perform charity. But one thing I love doing to serve others is using my talents to help other reach their goals. I love exercising, this semester I volunteered with the BIGGEST WINNER program on campus. I help 8 people lose weight.I also help a sweet girl name Abbey reach her goals of becoming healthier. Today I was able to help her achieve her first 5k! She did so great and she was so grateful for my help. We can bless the lives of others in so many ways, especially by using our talents plus we can learn from them and overall feel peace.

Abbey is the one with the BYU-I shirt.

Good Works

Therefore let your light so shine before this people, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father who is in heaven. 3 Nephi 12:16

What is good works?

Romans 2-5 talks a bit about Good Works and its importance. We can help others build the kingdom by service. Through charity we can help those around us, something to remember is that charity is  "the pure love of Christ".  Through charity we can become more like Christ and we can develop love towards others. Through charity we feel a sense of peace and love. We can also pray for guidance to find people that might need of our help and remember that when we are in the service of our fellow beings we are in the service of God. We will receive true happiness through service.

Being Influential for Good in the Lives of Others

In 1 Corinthians 9, Paul teaches the gospel to others around him.The same way we also can preach the gospel to those around us. In my life I have been greatly blessed to learn about the gospel. My family and I were baptized when I was 11 years old in 2001. We have been so blessed since then, and we continue to be blessed throughout our lives.I am so grateful for missionary work around the world. We also can be missionaries in many ways for example by sharing our testimonies and even just being an example to others. We should seek missionary opportunities daily and not be afraid to share the gospel. You truly never know when you can change the life of others.

My family on my wedding day 3/3/2012 in the Oakland family.
That is where my family and I were also sealed for eternity in 2002 a year after being baptized.

Religion Post

This weeks reading for Religion was Acts 16-20, I Cor 1-3 and 1 and 2 Thess. I really enjoyed this week's reading. I was able to learn a great amount from 1 Thessalonians. This chapter focused on perfecting what we lack in our faith. It is our duty to keep our faith strong. I am so blessed to have the gospel in my life where I have learned the importance of faith. Something I have focused on is how Heavenly Father has given us trials to help our faith grow. Our faith can be tested at times but it is for our own good! I have a couple experiences that has helped strengthen my faith, and I am so thankful and grateful for that!

President Eyring said, "It is never too late to strengthen the foundation of faith. There is always time. With faith in the Savior, you can repent and plead for forgiveness. There is someone you can forgive. There is someone you can thank. There is someone you can serve and lift. You can do it wherever you are and however alone and deserted you may feel.
"I cannot promise an end to your adversity in this life. I cannot assure you that your trials will seem to you to be only for a moment. One of the characteristics of trials in life is that they seem to make clocks slow down and then appear almost to stop."
