Winter In California :)

So far being at home has been really good. I love how its not nearly as cold as it was in Rexburg :) I have been anxiously looking for a job but i have had no luck. It has been a challenge for me because I need to work in order to go back to school in the Spring but I know that Heavenly Father knows what he wants to happen in my life and for that reason I have been positive about everything.
A scripture that I love that always helps me get through my hard times is in 2 Corinthians 12;9-10
"Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christs sake: for when I am weak then I am strong" These tribulations truly help me become better and I learn so much from these kind of experiences. I also started attending the singles ward here in Manteca with Vicki. It has been a great change for me being used to my ward back at school where I knew everyone and loved my bishopric, I truly miss them a lot. Im just glad Vicki goes with me...if she didn't I would definitely of gone to my home ward. It is hard for me to not have a lot of friends here...my close friends that I had have moved so I am stuck at home even on the weekends, but I am okay with that, I dont like to complain. I have never really been a party girl or anything like that, I am more laid back. I am looking forward to the summer though when I can go on hikes, swim, and just do all that outdoor stuff that I love :) Most people dont believe me when I tell them I love outdoor stuff, I guess I dont seem like a girl who loves that kind of stuff...but I love to surprise people. I am also soo excited for all my friends who are getting married in the next 3 months...especially Lianna's wedding...I am excited to be one of her bridesmaids. It seems like everyone is getting engaged...kinda weird...lol. I am just really enjoying my time at home...it is nice to take a break from Rexburg, guys, snow, being broke, and HW.

Fall Semester....

Well to start off, Fall 2009 semester was GREAT. I took less credits than summer semester and I manage to get better grades. I had a less social life but focused more on my classes. It definitely paid off, it was a semester full of trials but I was able to stay focused and overcome the many trial that came along. I had amazing roommates Becky Smith, Chynna Orr, and Rachel Turner, they are such an example to me. It is amazing how I didn't know these girls a few months ago and now they are my closest friends. This semester I was Relief Society Secretary...I was able to learn so much from that calling and get to know and love the girls in my group. I have to say I meet many amazing people this semester and it was nice to see my old friends too. It is sad how we have the track system, which makes it a little harder for me because I have quite a few friends on Fall/Winter. This semester was also WAY colder than last fall. I had to walk to class in -13 weather...it sucked. There were times were I simply just missed the California weather but I was able to survive. It was just a great semester...but now I am ready for Spring 2010!!!
